What Is Acupuncture?
Acupuncture is a practice from traditional East Asian medicine in which fine needles are placed at specific points on the body. Many patients use it to support pain relief, stress management, restful sleep, and overall well-being. Dan explains each point he chooses and why, so you understand what is happening during treatment. Sensations vary from person to person, and most patients describe a calm, relaxed feeling afterward.
Common Reasons Patients Choose Acupuncture
Patients come to the Vital Health Foundation for a range of concerns, including:
Ongoing pain in the back, neck, hips, or joints that has not fully resolved
Stress and tension that affect sleep, mood, or daily energy
Sleep difficulties such as trouble falling asleep or staying asleep
Digestive comfort concerns that disrupt daily routines
Support during recovery from an injury or a demanding training season
General wellness and a desire for a steady, preventive routine
A Whole-Body Approach to Your Care
Acupuncture looks at how different systems of the body affect one another. Pain can influence sleep, stress can affect digestion, and a recent injury can change how you move for months. Dan takes time to understand these connections during your first visit. He considers your health history, daily habits, and the specific symptoms you want to address, then creates a plan that fits your life. Follow-up visits allow Dan to track your progress and adjust the approach as your body responds.
